Service Description

Autistic Discovery & Me Therapeutic Support Group begins on Wednesday 5th February 2025 at 5:30-7pm. I feel very excited about this, as a late-identified autist I know the struggle of questioning your neurotype and wanting some answers. I will not be able to tell you whether you are autistic or not but I will provide the space, information and conditions for you to explore your emerging autistic identity in a safe and supportive environment. The therapeutic support group is going to run for 8 weeks and each week we will approach a different aspect of the autistic experience, engage in gentle activities and group discussions with the aim to promote your exploration of your identity and experiences. ​​​ Every week you will also be given the opportunity to engage in two somatic based exercises that can help promote your emotional wellbeing and nervous system regulation. This will be supported with handouts, worksheets and audio recordings to support your individual journey.
