About Karuna Therapeutic Services
Hello, I’m Natasha — the face behind Karuna Therapeutic Services.
“Karuna” is a Sanskrit word meaning loving-kindness, and it perfectly reflects the heart of my practice: offering a compassionate, affirming space for growth, healing, and change.
I’m a late-identified autistic psychotherapeutic counsellor, somatic trauma therapist, and breathwork coach. I bring both my professional training and my lived experience into the work I do. I’ve recently been awarded professional accredited status by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) — a recognition of my depth of training, ethical practice, and commitment to providing safe, effective, and affirming therapy.

I specialise in working with late-identified autistic adults and other neurodivergent clients navigating trauma, masking, burnout, identity exploration, and the emotional weight of being “too much” or “not enough” in systems not built for us. My approach is neuro-affirming, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that healing happens through relationship with ourselves and with others.
Clients often describe me as "relatable," "genuine," and "refreshing." I’m not a blank-wall therapist — I believe in real, honest connection. You’ll meet the real me: someone who listens deeply, walks beside you in your challenges, and honours your pace, needs, and boundaries.
My work is integrative and trauma-responsive, with a strong somatic foundation. I incorporate body-based and bottom-up approaches such as breathwork, nervous system tracking, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and parts work, a method I’ve trained in to help clients explore and understand the different inner voices, roles, and responses that may have formed as part of surviving trauma or navigating neurodivergent life. This is gentle, deep work that can bring clarity, compassion, and a stronger sense of inner wholeness.
My own healing journey has taught me how life-changing it can be to be truly seen, heard, and understood, without having to explain or justify your way of being in the world.
When we free ourselves from the weight of the past, we can fully experience the present and begin to embrace the future with hope.
I have specialist training and experience in:
-
Neurodivergence, including Autism, ADHD, PDA and sensory processing differences
-
Childhood adversity and complex trauma
-
Domestic abuse and relational trauma
-
Somatic trauma healing, breathwork practices, and parts work
For almost three years, I have supported survivors of domestic abuse at my local women’s refuge and worked with individuals in recovery from substance dependency. These experiences have deepened my passion for helping those impacted by trauma, abuse, and neurodivergent lived experience to find safety, stability, and vitality once more.
My approach is always relational, paced with care, and grounded in your autonomy. Whether your goals are to feel more regulated, reconnect with your body, understand your inner world, or process the experience of late identification, I’ll meet you where you are.
Healing isn’t about "fixing" you, it’s about making space for the parts of you that have been silenced, hidden, or overwhelmed, so that you can begin to feel more at home in yourself.
